Dont get me wrong i love vista but no matter what it is constantly updating before it logs on, if i do a restart of shut it down.
then it has a corrupt root error code Oxa C: \ntoskrnl.exe
I am ready to chuck the fricken computer out the window over this.

You can change the settings to how often you want them updated. I also have vista premium, just click on the windows icon at the bottom left of the screen, go to windows update and then schedule the updates for when you want them to run. Good luck with that anyway.
